Vegan Hot Cocoa

One of my favorite memories of being a kid and playing in the snow was having my mom make a nice warm cup of hot chocolate and having it waiting for me when I was ready to come back inside.  To make a vegan style hot chocolate, we simply whisked almond milk (you can use any milk alternative like soy, rice, oat, etc.), a couple dashes of cinnamon, a couple tablespoons of cacao powder and stevia (sugar) together for a delicious cup of hot cocoa.  Sipping the cocoa with my daughter brought back that loving and comforting feeling and it was fun to experiment with the ingredients we had on hand.  Try making a cup of vegan hot cocoa during your next winter flurry.  Yum!
