Community Supported Agriculture

amy's garden Join a CSA this year!  CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture and is basically when you pay money up front for an entire season of local, organic, seasonal produce.  It’s a great way to support a local business, specifically a farm and even more specifically an organic farm (although not all CSA’s are organic) and is a great way to eat healthy!  The farmer boxes up a week’s worth of seasonal, freshly picked produce for each of its’ members (grocery store produce can travel thousands of miles and be in route for days) that you can either pick up or sometimes have delivered right to your door.  Eating local, organic, seasonal produce is a great way to eat and live so join a CSA in your area today!

Are you already a member of a CSA?  How do you like it?  What have your experiences been?  Thanks for sharing!
